Welcome to BEES ELEPHANT FOUNDATION!

BEES Elephant Foundation – BEF was established to improve welfare for the elephants and animals in Thailand and to support Community based initiatives that work to meet the needs of the elephants, animals and the communities that live and work with them.

There are currently approximately 4,000 registered captive elephants in Thailand, many of which are used in the tourism trekking industry, for entertainment in shows, some are still used for farming and in logging. BEES Elephant Foundation – BEF works to provide sustainable alternatives for elephants and their owners, to move away from exploitation and harsh work activities. We work to establish projects that benefit elephants, domestic animals, the community and wildlife.

Currently under our umbrella of support is BEES – Burm and Emily’s Elephant Sanctuary in Maechaem, Chiang Mai, Thailand and the side project they run with our support BEARS – Animal Rescue and Shelter.

We need your help to help the Elephants, Animals and Community! Become a sponsor, donor, join oneof our supported projects as a volunteer and help us make a difference.
